Harry Kane is Golden Boot favourite – but value is Lukaku and Lacazette

Alexandre Lacazette odds

As reigning two-time Golden Boot champion, it’s no surprise that Harry Kane is favourite to be this season’s Premier League top goalscorer.

But despite a whopping 29 goals from 30 games last term, we fancy there’s better value elsewhere than the 5/2 market leader.

We’ve got to give major consideration to Romelu Lukaku, who looks a great option at 9/2.

The Belgian enjoyed his best campaign yet with 25 goals last season, and has since bagged a £75m move to Manchester United.

And it’s that move which makes us think Lukaku should be shorter.

It wasn’t that Jose Mourinho’s side couldn’t create chances last season, it’s just that they didn’t have the right man to tuck them away.

That shouldn’t be a problem now, and if they continue to create opportunities, then the Belgian will score for fun.

Our second pick is another man who has been subject of another huge move this summer, Alexandre Lacazette.

If Alexis Sanchez can score 24 times last season for Arsenal, what can Lacazette – an out-and-out goal-getter – achieve in North London?

The Frenchman is the striker Arsenal have been pining for in recent years, and he should suit the Gunners still of play.

He hit 27 or more in two of his last three seasons with Lyon, and at 26-years-old should be entering the peak of his career.

Having already netted on his friendly debut for the Gunners in Sydney, he looks a great shout at 10/1.
