From Morata to Keita…moves priced up for top 10 trending players

Published:

With the transfer window in full swing, we’ve been busy pricing up the chances of the top 10 trending footballers on Twitter. And three have seen their odds of a move suspended, while none of the rest are longer than 11/10.

First off, we’ve suspended betting on Wayne Rooney to Everton, Dani Alves to Man City and Alexandre Lacazette to Arsenal, with our odds-crunchers considering those moves to be all-but-done.

Next up, there’s 1/5 on offer for Diego Costa to wave goodbye to Chelsea this summer, and it’s the same price for fellow Spain striker Alvaro Morata to say hello to English football…and in particular, Old Trafford.

Elsewhere, former Juventus boss Antonio Conte is 1/3 to lure Alex Sandro from Turin to Stamford Bridge, while Naby Keita joining Liverpool is also available at those odds.

The big-spending Blues are also 1/2 to reunite with former striker Romelu Lukaku this summer.

Across London, Alexis Sanchez is 4/5 to leave Arsenal this summer, while European football’s hottest young property, Kylian Mbappe, is 11/10 to swap Monaco for Real Madrid before the window closes.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “We wanted to know just how much truth there was in all the talk of some of the most searched names on Twitter making big money moves this summer.”

“And as far as our traders are concerned, there’s every chance that all of the players mentioned could be plying their trade elsewhere by September.”
