Crystal Palace favourites for West Ham keeper after Hart arrival

It’s fair to say everyone involved with West Ham United is excited by the loan capture of Joe Hart. Well, almost everyone. After all, the England goalkeeper’s arrival means fellow Irons man Adrian has fallen down the pecking order.

And our trading team think there’s every chance the Spaniard will head for the exit this summer.

Crystal Palace currently lead the race to sign the towering 30-year-old at 9/4, with the South London outfit shipping a sizeable 63 goals in the Premier League last term.

Adrian’s record was considerably better than that, with the Sevilla native keeping six clean sheets in his 16 top-tier outings. But having already found himself in and out of the side last term, it’s unlikely he’ll be getting frequent game-time with Hart around.

While Palace lead the market, Newcastle United are close behind, with 3/1 on offer for Rafa Benitez to add his compatriot to the Magpies’ ranks.

But that price could quickly tumble if Tim Krul – omitted from the club’s summer training camp squad – storms out in the coming days, a fate some Newcastle fans are currently convinced of.

However, the view from our odds-crunchers is that Adrian won’t be returning to the home comforts of former employers Real Betis, with a whopping 25/1 available for the one-time Verderones’ keeper to return home.
