Will blue be the colour for the Queen on Royal Ascot opening day?

Her Majesty The Queen is being back to wear a blue hat on the opening day of this year’s Royal Ascot meeting, according to the latest odds.

With the prestigious event getting underway this Tuesday, the early money is pointing towards The Queen wearing a shade of blue at odds of 3/1, followed by a summery yellow option at 7/2.

It’s a 4/1 chance she looks pretty in pink, or 5/1 is the price on offer for a purple number.

And finally, we make it just a 5/4 shot that highs of 30C or higher are recorded on the Berkshire racecourse this week.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “Punters reckon Her Majesty’s hat colour on Tuesday will reflect the weather, with a blue or yellow number already well fancied.”
