West Brom even-money to snap up Valencia’s Euros-winning ace

In a miserable Premier League campaign for Middlesbrough, loanee Alvaro Negredo was one of few players to emerge with any credit. And it seems the Spaniard could be set for another crack at English football…with West Bromwich Albion.

Our traders make it an even-money shot the Baggies are Negredo’s next club, with 5/4 for the 31-year-old to head to The Hawthorns this summer.

The striker scored nine times in the Premier League last term, as well as chalking up four assists. That meant he directly contributed to an impressive 48% of the club’s goals. So it’s no surprise that the striker – currently on the books of Valencia – remains hot property.

As it stands, Tony Pulis’ men are firm favourites for his signature, with West Ham United next in the running at 5/1. As it stands, the Irons look more likely to focus their efforts on Montpellier hitman Steve Mounie.

Newcastle United follow at 6s, with Galatasaray – hotly linked with the Valencia man last month – also 6/1 for his signature.

However, our traders deem it unlikely that we’ll see the Madrid native returning to a former club, with Sevilla (10/1) and Manchester City (12/1) at the blunt end of the betting.

A Ladbrokes spokesperson said: “Baggies fans will be beaming at the thought of Negredo joining their club, and right now The Hawthorns is clearly his most likely destination.”
