Order Of St George fav to reverse form at Glorious Goodwood

Goodwood Cup odds

This year’s Ascot Gold Cup runner-up Order Of St George has been installed as the favourite to reverse the form with conqueor Big Orange at Glorious Goodwood.

The Aidan O’Brien-trained five-year-old fought out a barnstorming finish with Michael Bell’s Royal meeting hero, eventually going down by a short head.

However, our odds-compilers make Order Of St George the 7/4 favourite to exact revenge in Sussex with Big Orange next best at 9/4.

Absent Dubai Gold Cup winner Vazirabad is priced at 6/1 for the 2m contest on August 1 with recent Hardwicke Stakes sixth Dal Harraild a 12/1 shot and the Queen’s Vase victor Stradivarius available at 16s.

Seamour sees odds cut for Plate plot

Last year’s Northumberland Plate runner-up Seamour has been cut into 5/1 from 13/2 for the upcoming renewal at Newcastle while track hero Natural Scenery is another with plenty of backers.

The Godolphin-owned runner is now 9/1 from 12/1 following support this morning.

Waldgeist backed to upset the O’Brien applecart

French raider Waldgeist is another strongly supported horse ahead of his Irish Derby bid this Saturday.

Ballydoyle hold the lion’s share of entries but the Andre Fabre-trained colt is the one punters are latching onto with a flurry of shop money forcing our traders to cut him from 7/2 into 11/4 for Classic glory.
