Liverpool Prem favourites for Bayern star…can they pip Juventus?

Juventus may still be favourites to sign Bayern Munich’s Douglas Costa this summer, but with Jurgen Klopp reportedly desperate to sign the winger, Liverpool have now shook up the market and are clear second-favourites.
The winger endured a fairly disrupted campaign at the Allianz Arena in 2016-17, starting just 14 games in the Bundesliga, a big drop from 23 in the previous campaign. And while the Brazilian didn’t enjoy his best form last term, there’s no doubt he’d still be a great addition to any squad.
Right now, it’s Juve who are 3/1 to add him to their ranks in this transfer window, but Liverpool are closing in at odds of 4/1, with the Reds set for a big summer of spending ahead of their return to the Champions League.
Chelsea are next in the betting at 8/1, with Manchester pair City and United both priced up at 10s to snap up the former Shakhtar Donetsk man.
They’re followed by Borussia Dortmund (12/1) and Barcelona (16/1), with our traders convinced that he’s unlikely to go anywhere other than Serie A or the Premier League this summer.
However, that’s good news for Liverpool. And if the Anfield outfit can beat the Old Lady to Costa’s signature, we could quickly see the scissors taken to the 12/1 for the Reds to win the Prem in 2017-18.
