Lewis Hamilton odds-on to get the better of Vettel in Austria

Lewis Hamilton won’t have to wait long to exact revenge on title rival Sebastian Vettel, if the latest odds are anything to go by.

The German’s controversial shunt into the back of Hamilton during the Azerbaijan Grand Prix has dominated the back pages.

But odds of 4/5 suggest Hamilton will deliver the perfect riposte by winning back-to-back Austrian Grand Prix in two weeks’ time.

Vettel finished fourth in Baku, despite a 10-second penalty for his misdemeanour, one place in front of Hamilton.

The result extended the 29-year-old’s Drivers’ Championship lead over his Mercedes rival to 14 points although the British star remains odds-on at 8/11 to secure a fourth world crown.

Ferrari’s leading man is 11/10 to land the 2017 title with Hamilton’s Silver Arrows team-mate Valtteri Bottas 33/1 and Azerbaijan winner Daniel Ricciardo next best alongside Kimi Raikkonen at an eye-watering 500/1.

The fall-out from Vettel and Hamilton’s collision will rumble on but our odds-compilers clearly fancy the latter to have the last laugh when this season’s F1 cast reconvene at the Red Bull Ring.
