Leeds United 7/4 favourites to get their hands on Arsenal prodigy

Leeds United have already secured two summer signings in the form of Pontus Jansson and Hadi Sacko, but new boss Thomas Christiansen could be set to bring in the first of his newboys in the form of Arsenal prodigy Chuba Akpom.

The Gunners are believed to be keen on giving the 21-year-old another season of loan experience, and could even be open to permanent offers for the Canning Town native.

And it’s Leeds who are current favourites to snag the youngster before the window closes, with 7/4 on offer for the young forward to make Elland Road his new home.

They’re followed by a pair of Championship newboys in the shape of Millwall and Hull City, with both sides 11/4 to add Akpom to their ranks.

Both clubs would offer selling points to the England Under-21 international ace, with the Lions close to home for the striker, while he knows Hull well, having spent an impressive campaign on loan with the Tigers during the 2015-16 season.

That pair are followed in the betting by Brighton & Hove Albion, who are 3/1 to add the Arsenal man to their ranks ahead of their inaugural Premier League campaign. However, with Akpom having struggled on loan with the Seagulls last term, some fans of the club may not be too thrilled by seeing them so high in the betting.

Meanwhile, there’s 9/2 on offer for the player to join Sheffield Wednesday this summer, with a pair of Reading and Fulham priced at 6/1 apiece, while Cardiff City round out the betting at 7/1.
