ITV Racing Tips: Desert Law is the track hero to be on at Musselburgh

The speedsters are set to take centre stage this Saturday with some high-quality, fast-paced action headlining.
A hot Scurry Stakes renewal from Sandown is accompanied by an ultra-competitive Scottish Sprint Cup from Musselburgh while the ITV Racing cameras will also be on hand to capture the best of the card from York.

Trainer Roger Varian is heading north with Ekhtiyaar and the manner in which the three-year-old scored last time out suggests his handler won’t return empty-handed.
His hard-fought Sprint Trophy success at Newmarket demanded class and guts but with a clearer path the thinking is he’ll use a couple more gears to put this contest to bed.
The Easterbys have lively chances in Carlton Frankie and Golden Apollo but this race demands more and our selection is ready to step up to the plate.
This Scottish Sprint Cup renewal looks like a cracker and we’re backing returning hero Desert Law to prevail.
He may have been behind a few of these re-opposing rivals in this year’s Epsom Dash but the Paul Midgley-trained nine-year-old can exact revenge following a course and distance win prior to that reverse.
The very likeable Duke Of Firenze and Caspian Prince have also been in fine form this season, and the latter has also enjoyed success here in the past.
However, we think Desert can lay down the law again north of the border.
This Ganton Stakes renewal is undoubtedly a pretty hot race with plenty to like about those at the head of the market.
However, we’re willing to take them on with the Richard Hannon Jr-trained Khafoo Shememi.
He’s three from six, with two of those victories coming over a mile, including a narrow Listed win at Salisbury last time out.
Already on a career-high mark, there could well be more to come from this relatively unexposed type.
