Hull FC - Ladbrokes Challenge Cup

Following last weekend’s thrilling Ladbrokes Challenge Cup quarter-finals, the draw for the last four has been announced.

Holders Hull FC will face Leeds Rhinos at the Keepmoat Stadium, Doncaster on Saturday 29 July after overcoming Castleford Tigers 32-24 on Sunday.

The Rhinos progressed after thrashing Championship side Featherstone Rovers 58-0.

Meanwhile, Wigan Warriors will continue their quest for a 20th Challenge Cup crown when they meet the Salford Red Devils at the Halliwell Jones Stadium, Warrington, on Sunday 30 July.

Wigan were involved in arguably the game of the weekend, eventually beating the Warrington Wolves 27-26 with the Wire’s Declan Patton missing a last-gasp drop-goal attempt.

Salford’s success was more emphatic, as they ran out convincing 30-6 winners over Wakefield Trinity Wildcats to secure their place in the semis for the first time in 19 years.

Naturally, each of the four clubs and their players were delighted to reach the semi-final stage.

Wigan’s Sam Tomkins may be sore but that’s nothing a date in the semis can’t sort out…

Leeds showed their opponents no mercy. 10 tries!

Salford fans are daring to dream. And rightly so! One step from Wembley!
