Daliso Chaponda new favourite to win Britain’s Got Talent

After weeks of waiting we’ve finally seen one of this year’s Britain’s Got Talent contenders throw down the gauntlet. 

Missing People Choir had enjoyed uncontested favourtism throughout the competition before last night.

However, there’s a new jolly in town in the form of comedian Daliso Chaponda.

The Manchester-based comic has surged ahead of his rivals and is now just 9/4 to be crowned the 2017 winner. .

Tokio Myers is also fancied for glory at 5/2, with Missing People Choir the third favourites in the market at 5/1.

Issy Simpson and The Pensionaires find themselves chalked up at 8/1 apiece, with Sarah Ikumu given a 12/1 chance of causing an upset.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “It’s safe to say punters will be laughing all the way to the bank if Daliso wins BGT this year.”
