Chelsea odds-on for Bakayoko – Man United now Evens for Matic

Chelsea are just 1/2 to sign Monaco’s midfield enforcer Tiemoue Bakayoko, in a move which could see Nemanja Matic join Manchester United.
The 22-year-old has shone for Monaco this season, playing a pivotal role as the Principality outfit landed their first Ligue 1 title in 17 years.
Bakayoko has broken into the national reckoning too, and made his debut for France in March this year.
He made 32 league appearances for Monaco this term, in addition to 10 in the Champions League.
On average this season, Bakayoko produced 2.4 tackles, two interceptions and 1.7 clearances per match.
His superb performances in the holding midfield role allowed Monaco to shine going forward, where they averaged over 2.8 goals through the league campaign.
So it’s no wonder he has been heavily linked with a big-money move this summer.
According to the odds, Chelsea lead the way, with reports today claiming the Blues will pay £42m for the Paris-born star.
And should Bakayoko head to Stamford Bridge, then it could push Nemanja Matic to Manchester United.
The 28-year-old was a near-ever present as Chelsea stormed to the league title this season.
But it’s believed he is keen to reunite with Jose Mourinho, the man who brought him back to West London from Benfica in 2013.
Couple that with Bakayoko’s potential arrival, and the Serbian looks good value at Evens to join the Old Trafford outfit this summer.
The Red Devils do boast Ander Herrera and Michael Carrick, but with the latter surely entering his final campaign with the club, Mourinho will be keen to ensure he has defensive options in central midfield.
