Celtic host Hearts on Ladbrokes Premiership’s opening day

Published:

The fixtures are out, and a fantastic opening weekend awaits in the Ladbrokes Premiership, as champions Celtic begin the defence of their title against Heart of Midlothian, while newly-promoted Hibernian kick off their top-flight return by hosting Partick Thistle.

Brendan Rodgers’ men will be looking to continue their 46-game unbeaten domestic run against Hearts, the same fixture which they began with last term – winning 2-1 at Tynecastle.

As for Hibs – who have former Hoops boss Neil Lennon at the helm – they’ll be looking to secure victory against a Jags side who finished in the top half last term.

Elsewhere, Aberdeen welcome Hamilton Academical to Pittodrie, while Rangers head to Fir Park looking to continue their impressive record against Motherwell.

Dundee begin the campaign against Ross County, while St Johnstone make the trip to Rugby Park to face Kilmarnock.
