Brighton lead Premier League pack in tussle for Liverpool man

Brighton & Hove Albion may have proved too good for the Championship, but they’ll need a few more talented additions to make the cut in the Premier League. And one key signing could well come in the form of Liverpool defender Joe Gomez.
The Seagulls are current 7/4 favourites to add the Reds youngster to their ranks this summer, with the England Under-21 international apparently keen to secure more game time.
Having initially broken into the first-team at boyhood club Charlton Athletic back in 2014, the Catford-born centre-back has struggled for fitness and chances at Anfield since arriving in 2015 – featuring just 10 times for the first-team.
However, the defender’s impressive displays in Premier League 2 during the last campaign have sparked interest from a number of clubs.
While Brighton are outright favourites, fellow Prem newboys Huddersfield Town are 3/1 to snap up the former Addicks ace.
They’re followed in the running by Watford (4/1), while Swansea City and Newcastle United are both 5/1 to add the youngster to their ranks this summer.
Meanwhile, Sheffield Wednesday round out the betting at 8/1, making them the most likely Championship suitors.
So, it seems certain Gomez is heading for the Anfield exit this summer. The question is…where’s he going?
