Brighton 5/2 to snap up Scotland ace from West Ham

Robert Snodgrass odds

After just five months at London Stadium, it seems Robert Snodgrass could be set to leave West Ham United…with Brighton & Hove Albion favourites for his signature.

Seagulls boss Chris Hughton is keen to add Premier League experience to his squad, and there’s 5/2 on offer for the Scottish winger to make the AMEX Stadium his new home.

Despite a miserable half-season in East London, there’s no doubt the 29-year-old has plenty to offer at this level. During the half-season he spent at struggling Hull City in 2016-17, Snodgrass chalked up nine goals and four assists in 24 outings.

He’s also one of the key men for Gordon Strachan’s Scotland side, starting all of the last seven games, and scoring a WCQ hat-trick against Malta along the way.

With that kind of record, it makes sense that a number of Prem sides are tracking the experienced winger, with West Bromwich Albion second-favourites for his signature at 5/1.

They’re followed in the betting by a Southampton and Stoke City (both 7s), with a speedy return to Hull City priced up at 8/1.

Newcastle United pipped Brighton to the Championship title on the final day, and they’re 8s to beat them to the punch by securing the Glaswegian’s signature.

However, our odds-crunchers deem a return to Norwich City to be very unlikely, with 12/1 for the former Canaries man to head home to Carrow Road.

As it stands, Brighton are 6/5 for relegation from the Premier League next term. Add one or two players with Snodgrass’ quality and those odds could drift out significantly.
