World number one Andy Murray is now the third joint-favourite for success at this year’s French Open following a straight sets victory over Juan Martin del Potro in the third round.

Murray triumphed 7-6, 7-5, 6-0 and is now 8/1 (from 12/1 earlier today) to land a first Grand Slam crown at Roland Garros.

The British star booked his passage to the last-16 in impressive fashion although our odds-compilers still can’t see past Rafael Nadal.

The King of Clay is the 4/7 favourite to win a tenth title in Paris with Novak Djokovic rated next best at 9/2.

Like Murray, Stan Wawrinka is also available at 8s with Dominic Thiem 10/1 and 25/1 bar.

Up next for Andy is a fourth round meeting with either the American John Isner or Russian Karen Khachanov.
