West Ham v Tottenham: Spurs odds-on favourites to close Chelsea gap

Published:

Friday Night Football is back and back with a bang this week as West Ham and Tottenham contest a London derby.

Spurs know that victory will move them to within one point of Chelsea, heaping pressure on the Blues when they take on Middlesbrough on Monday night.

And our traders reckon Mauricio Pochettino’s men will get the job done too, with 2/5 on offer for a Tottenham win at the London stadium.

The North Londoners have won nine league games on the spin, conceding just four times in that spell.
West Ham are 6/1 shots despite playing at home, but Slaven Bilic’s men are listing aimlessly towards the season’s end.

The Hammers have won just one of their last 11 games, and it’s gone a little unnoticed that they’ve failed to beat a side in the top ten all season in league competition.

Backing Spurs -1 certainly appeals at 21/20, while Tottenham/Tottenham on the Half-Time/Full-Time market looks good too at 23/20.

Dele Alli broke the deadlock in the north London derby last weekend, and with 14 goals and four assists in his last 18 league games, there’s no more productive player in the division.

The England international is 7/2 to open the scoring once again, and Evens to net an 18th of the campaign at anytime.

Favourite to find the net first is Harry Kane at 4/6.

Andy Carroll is the home side’s best hope to score first at 5/2, with the Hammers scoring just three times in their last five games, we aren’t expecting much as they take on the Premier League’s toughest defence.
