West Ham boss odds-on NOT to be in charge after the summer

Slaven Bilic will not be managing West Ham United on the opening day of next season. At least, that’s what the latest odds are suggesting.
The Croatian boss’ future is still very much up in the air, with a review scheduled with the Hammers board for the end of the season. But given his side’s failings this term, it’s likely Bilic will be given his marching orders.
And that’s exactly what our traders think will happen.
They’re going 8/13 about the former Besiktas manager NOT being in charge on the opening day of next season.
Worse still for Bilic, we’ve even opened up a market for his successor.
And as things stand, it’s Premier League-winning boss Roberto Mancini who leads the way in that market at 4/1.
He’s just ahead of current Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic (6/1), but behind those two there’s a considerable gap.
Marcelo Bielsa and Eddie Howe are both 10/1 shots, while Unai Emery and Rafa Benitez are out at 12s.
West Ham have only been in the top-half of the table for five of the last 35 rounds of fixtures, despite finishing just four points off a Champions League spot last campaign.
And while fans expected the club to build on last year’s success, in truth the Hammers have done quite the opposite.
Granted, they’ve had a few teething problems in trying to settle into their new stadium – and there’s an argument to suggest Bilic should be given at least another year in charge – so as to prove himself once again.
But the latest odds are suggesting the board are growing impatient with him, and we could be looking at a new man in the dugout on the opening day of next year.
