Tottenham star 4/9 to join Man City after reported Poch rift

Published:

Following reports of a bust-up with Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino, it seems Kyle Walker is certain to exit White Hart Lane – and Manchester City are hot favourites for his signature.

The right-back has impressed throughout the campaign, helping the North London outfit to 15 clean sheets in his 31 Premier League outings – as well as chalking up an impressive six assists.

However, our traders reckon they’ll have to live without him next season, with Man City just 4/9 to lure Walker to the Etihad.

Barcelona (8/1) are second in the betting, while Chelsea (10/1) and Bayern Munich (11/1) are also outsiders for his signature.

Meanwhile, fellow Lilywhites defender Toby Alderweireld also looks likely to make Manchester his new home.

There’s 5/2 on offer for the Belgian to join Man United, while 3/1 says he joins the Citizens – which would likely mean a reunion with Walker.

Champions-elect Chelsea are 5/1 for the 28-year-old’s signature, while a controversial switch to Arsenal is priced up at 8s.

A Ladbrokes spokesperson said: “Walker is set to leave White Hart Lane in a huff this summer, and it’s Pep Guardiola who’s ready to welcome him with open arms.”

“And we could well see him joined in Manchester by Toby Alderweireld, with United and City leading the race for the Belgian.”
