Swansea City v Everton: Toffees may come unstuck at the Liberty

We’re fast approaching must-win territory for sides still fighting to maintain their Premier League status. Hull City will know that when they welcome relegated Sunderland to the KCOM Stadium.

But so will Swansea City, who host Everton on Saturday evening.

Providing the Tigers pick up three points against the Black Cats, Paul Clement’s Swansea side will head into the late kick-off some five points off safety with just three games remaining.

With that in mind, they must go all out against the Toffees.

Luckily for the hosts though, this isn’t too bad a time to play the Merseyside outfit.

They head into this fixture on the back of a 3-0 drubbing from league leaders Chelsea, and have won just four games away from home all season.

The Swans have picked up four points from their last two outings against Stoke City and Manchester United respectively, and it’s vital they carry that momentum into this fixture.

As for the head-to-heads, you’d have to say the advantage is with the home team.

Of their last six clashes, Everton haven’t won any. They’ve drawn four and lost two, although you’d have to say a point may not be good enough for Swansea come the final day of the season.

Even so, with that in mind we’re tempted by the 8/15 or Swansea or Draw Double Chance.

The visitors head into this game as 29/20 favourites, but they have very little to play for in this season now – unlike their opponents.

All the signs are pointing towards a solid seventh-placed finish – something you’d still expect them to achieve if they managed to lose all of their remaining three fixtures.

As for goalscorers, it’s no surprise to see the division’s leading scorer, Romelu Lukaku, priced at 7/2 to net first, while Swansea’s main man up-front, Fernando Llorente, remains an 11/2 shot.

We’re also keen on the 7/4 on Gylfi Sigurdsson scoring at any time in the game, with the former Tottenham Hotspur man notching up nine for the season already.

But as for our top bet, we’re leaning towards Under 2.5 Goals (10/11). That’s because only one of the last five meetings between the pair has seen three or more goals.
