Sustained support puts Labour at shortest Election price yet

The Labour Party is now a shortest ever price of 8/1 to win next month’s General Election following sustained and heavy support from punters.

We’ve been reporting on the flood of money all week and it’s no surprise to another market move.

Jeremy Corbyn and co. had hit a high of 16/1 just days ago to win the Most Seats following June’s big vote.

But these latest developments mean the Tories now find themselves in that market at odds of 1/16, having been as short at 1/50.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “Labour’s odds have halved in price in less than a week, and while a shock win still looks unlikely, the momentum is clearly with the red team currently.”
