Celtic captain Scott Brown has been named the Ladbrokes Premiership Player of the Season following his influential performances throughout the 2016-17 campaign.

Midfielder Brown has led by example in a term of unsurpassed glory for the Premiership champions.

And at 31-years-old he’s been playing some of the best football of his career as Celtic have swept all before them on the domestic scene.

Manager Brendan Rodgers has undoubtedly played a big part in the skipper’s renaissance but Brown himself has responded excellently to spearhead his side’s unbeaten run.

Signed by the Hoops from Hibernian in 2007, Brown has enjoyed an incredible 10-year spell at Celtic Park thus far.

However, this isn’r the first time he’s been recognised with an individual award, having scooped the SPFA Player of the Year gong in 2008-09.

And the Bhoys legend could even another add another piece of silverware to his glittering collection when his side aim to wrap-up a domestic treble against Aberdeen in the Scottish FA Cup Final.

Congratulations Scott!
