Saul Alvarez v Julio Cesar Chavez Jr: What social media is saying
Published:We may still be getting over what we witnessed inside Wembley Stadium last weekend as Anthony Joshua defeated Wladimir Klitschko, but the big fights just keep on coming.
And this time it’s Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez’s (48-1-1 34KO) turn to take to the ring, as the WBO World super welterweight title-holder will go up against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr (50-2-1 32KO).
The latter is stepping up a division and therefore finds himself as the 11/2 outsider to come out on top, while Canelo is as short as 1/10 to win.
So the odds are favouring the 26-year-old, but what’s being said on social media?
It’s fair to say the favourite is looking in great shape…

However, not everyone thinks Chavez Jr is up to this bout…
Chavez Jr looks awful! Canelo’s combinations could make this very dangerous. I hope Chavez is not too brave for his own good #CaneloChavezJr

Will Chavez be kicking himself if this is true?!
Did Chavez Jr really bet his entire purse he would knock out Canelo???#canelochavezjr #boxing pic.twitter.com/NOKaKToMgJ

There’ll certainly be some value in this happening…
If Chavez pulls Canelo into deep waters past the 7th round it’s going to be a very tough fight for Canelo.

@BoxingKingdom14 I want Chavez Jr to win, whether he can is another matter. Canelo if he wins needs to fight GGG. It’s been dragging on for too long!
