Partick v Celtic: Bhoys to home in on unbeaten campaign

| 18.05.2017

Celtic are just two games away from a famous historic Ladbrokes Premiership season, but before the Bhoys end with a homecoming versus Hearts, they head to Partick.

And at 1/3 to win, Brendan Rodgers’ men are well-fancied to claim another three points.

That would take them onto a whopping 103 for the season which would take them level with their record from the 2001-02 campaign.

And you can rest assured that with another game still to come, Rodgers’ will be going all-out to get 106 points and set a new bar.

Hosts Partick are heading for a solid mid-table finish in sixth, but at 17/2 our traders don’t fancy them winning their final home game of the season.

Credit where credit’s due, Thistle have lost only two of their last nine on home soil, but their recent record versus Celtic reads: DLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL.

That’s one draw and 18 defeats from the last 19 meetings.

And Celtic have scored for fun at Firhill, netting 22 times in their last seven visits.

So put all that together, and we’re looking at Celtic to win -1 at 10/11, or -2 at 23/10.

Scott Sinclair has netted in both of the last two meetings between these sides, and the former Man City striker is 7/2 to score first.

But Leigh Griffiths is arguably the form man for the Bhoys right now with two goals and three assists in his last three appearances, and the Scot is 14/5 favourite to open the scoring.
