Hull are down – but odds say they’re most likely to come straight up

Hull City are more likely than Middlesbrough or Sunderland to make a quick return to the Premier League, according to the latest odds.

The Tigers’ fate was confirmed after a 4-0 hammering by Crystal Palace, joining the North-East duo in the second tier next term.

But Marco Silva’s impact since joining the club has forced the bookies to make Hull the most likely of the trio to bounce straight back.

It’s 10/3 Hull come straight back up next year, with Middlesbrough at 4/1 and Sunderland are the outsiders of the three at 5s.

Silva is 1/3 to be in charge of the club at the start of next season.

A Ladbrokes spokesperson said: “The Tigers were akin to a domestic cat as they crumbled to relegation at Crystal Palace.

“But the odds show they’re better placed to make a successful return next season than either of their relegated rivals.”

While Silva is odds-on to stay at Hull next term, it’s just 9/4 he isn’t in charge of the opening day of next season, with reports claiming Watford are interesting in the impressive Portuguese manager.
