Forest Green 4/1 to win League Two promotion next year (and more)

| 15.05.2017

Forest Green Rovers owner Dale Vince made some bold claims following their National League play-off triumph on Sunday, claiming that getting into League One “will be easy”.

But the view from our trading floor is that FGR’s outspoken vegan magnate could have a point…

They make it 4/1 for the Nailsworth outfit to win promotion from League Two at the first time of asking, while there’s 6/4 on offer for Mark Cooper’s men to achieve the feat within the next three seasons.

There’s 6/1 on offer for relegation next term, but fans of the New Lawn club will likely be more interested in the 20/1 for their side to secure Championship football by 2022.

As well as giving Cooper’s side a first taste of the Football League in their 128-year history, promotion also gives the Green a chance to secure local bragging rights – with rivals Cheltenham Town also in League Two.

There’s 5/1 on offer for FGR to beat their rivals home and away in the division, and leave the Robins red-faced.

As for another dose of Wembley glory, there’s 33/1 about Rovers getting just that with an EFL Trophy triumph, while you can get 50s for the West Country outfit to beat a Premier League side in the cups next term.

Whatever happens next, these are exciting times for fans of the Little Club on the Hill.
