Corbyn’s PM odds halved as predicted Tory majority odds shrink

Jeremy Corbyn is now just 4/1 to become Prime Minister, following last night’s televised Q+A.

The Labour leader is now half of the 8/1 he was initially priced up at when the Election was called.

Despite facing a grilling from Jeremy Paxman in last night’s live debate, the odds suggest the momentum is firmly with Labour.

The Conservatives, once 1/50 to claim the most seats, have now seen those odds reach 1/12.

Conversely, Labour are now 6/1, in from 16/1.

It’s now only 1/6 – from 1/25 – that the Tories claim a majority, with Labour in from 33s to 12s.

Matthew Shaddick, Head of Political Betting at Ladbrokes said: “Punters continue to pour support behind Jeremy Corbyn and we’re regularly seeing five figure bets on him becoming PM come 9 June.

“More worryingly for Theresa May and the Conservatives, their projected majority is now 110, that’s down from 150 only 10 days ago.”
