Chelsea v Watford: Expect Hazard and co to celebrate title win in style

Published:

Having claimed the Premier League title late on versus West Brom on Friday, Chelsea will be handed a guard of honour when Watford visit Stamford Bridge tonight.

And a quick look at the odds suggests Antonio Conte’s champions will celebrate their success with another three points.

Chelsea are 2/7 favourites for this one, with Walter Mazzarri’s Hornets out at 9/1, and a draw 17/4.

But knowing they are 99% safe, and having lost their last four, we aren’t holding out much hope for Watford here.

In fact, the Vicarage Road outfit haven’t even scored in their last six away games, since their memorable 2-1 win at Arsenal.

So, better to get on Chelsea to win -1 at 4/5, or even -2 at 19/10, while backing No in Both Teams to Score looks good at 19/20.

And though they scored late on against the Baggies, Chelsea/Chelsea in the Half-Time/Full-Time is 10/11.

With an FA Cup final and a potential double still to come, we can likely expect Conte to maintain much of his first-team regulars.

That means another start for Diego Costa, despite Michy Batshuayi netting the title-winner on Friday.

Costa is 5/2 to net first, and he has form in this fixture, netting twice in the 2-2 draw at the Bridge last term, in addition to a late winner in this season’s reverse clash in August.

But if you fancy Batshuayi to make the most of some more game time, it’s 10/3 for the Belgian to net first and 19/20 anytime.
