Brendan Rodgers has been named the Ladbrokes Premiership Manager of the Season after overseeing a stunning first campaign in charge of champions Celtic.

The Hoops remain unbeaten heading into the final round of fixtures and could finish 2016-17 with an incredible 106 points should they beat Heart of Midlothian this Sunday.

Even a draw against Ian Cathro’s side would ensure the Glasgow giants become the first team to go a 38-game Scottish season without defeat, while taking anything from the game would beat the all-time points record.

The Bhoys have now gone 46 games unbeaten in all competitions and have the chance to wrap up a stunning domestic treble when they face Aberdeen in next week’s Scottish FA Cup Final.

On the continent, Rodgers guided his side to the Champions League group stage for the first time in three years and subsequently saw the Hoops record two creditable draws against Manchester City in this season’s competition.

All of which has led to the Northern Irishman taking this fitting latest accolade in his maiden term at Parkhead.

Congratulations Brendan!
