What next for Chelsea? Host of stars linked with moves away

Diego Costa - Chelsea

Chelsea may be considered by many to be Premier League champions in-waiting. But whatever happens between now and the end of the season it seems that the Blues will have some big battles on their hands this summer.

A host of the club’s stars are being linked with moves away this morning, potentially prompting a complete re-fit in the off-season.

According to reports in The Sun, wantaway striker Diego Costa has been spotted in London meeting with super agent Jorge Mendes to discuss a potential move to China.

Granted, there’s nothing new there. However, that story refuses to go away and it seems inevitable that Pensioners manager Antonio Conte will be forced into searching for a replacement for his main hitman.

Meanwhile, rumours of a Real Madrid move for Belgian star Eden Hazard continue to resurface with alarming regularity.

The Guardian have reported that Chelsea are confident of keeping the midfielder at Stamford Bridge but we shouldn’t be surprised if Los Blancos turn up the heat when the transfer window re-opens.

Elsewhere, Cesc Fabregas is allegedly a target for AC Milan with the Italian giants reportedly willing ‘to give everything’ to land their man.

And finally, the Londoners’ attempts to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti and West Ham United’s Michail Antonio have reportedly hit the buffers, fuelling the current uncertainty in West London.

All of the above points to a potentially unsettling summer for Blues fans.
