We’re confident in this week’s Premier League Darts 40/1 acca

Published:

We’ve been let down by plenty of upsets in the Premier League in recent weeks. Dave Chisnall completed an unlikely double against Adrian Lewis and Phil Taylor, while inconsistencies in Peter Wright and Raymond van Barneveld’s game haven’t helped.

But we’re feeling more confident than ever before in this week’s 40/1 five-fold.

There’s plenty of value in each selection as singles. But throwing them together, and adding in the generosity of our traders to guarantee the best value on the market for this acca means it’s too good to ignore.

So here’s what we’ve got lined up for Thursday’s action in Birmingham…

Adrian Lewis to beat James Wade

Both men lost 7-3 last week, but you’d argue Lewis has more to play for here. If results go his way, Jackpot could climb into the top four by close of play on Thursday night.

The Machine has also won just one of his last six Premier League matches, and is some way off the leading pack in the table.

So Lewis should have enough about him to see off Wade and exact revenge for the defeat he suffered back in February.

Michael van Gerwen v Dave Chisnall – Over 7.5 180s

Come on, do we really have to convince you to get behind this one?

These are two of the heaviest hitters in the game right now. Couple that with Chizzy’s sudden resurgence in recent weeks and we reckon this could go down to the wire in terms of legs played.

And we’d welcome that, as it gives each player more chances to score maximums.

Phil Taylor to beat Peter Wright

Wright has been one of the standout performers of the year to date, but he’s struggled to get the job done against the bigger names on the circuit which has kept him from closing the gap on MVG at the top.

And let’s not forget, this is Taylor’s last year on the circuit. He won’t go out without a fight, and victory this week would go a long way towards him securing a top four spot.

It’s not often you’ll get 2/1 on Taylor winning a darts match – especially over such a short format, so take advantage of it while you can would be our advice!

Gary Anderson to beat Raymond van Barneveld

Granted, the last time this pair met, Anderson simply couldn’t get a look in.

Circumstances were different then though, Barney was playing in front of a packed out home crowd in Rotterdam, and Anderson just couldn’t get going.

They’re level on points in the table right now, but the advantage is with the Flying Scotsman who boasts a superior leg difference.

Before that defeat in March, Anderson won 11 on the bounce against Van Barneveld, and he’ll be out to prove that defeat was a mere blip.

Adrian Lewis v Michael Van Gerwen – Lewis +2.5

We can’t believe that this is an odds-against shot.

All we’re after is five legs in favour of Lewis, he’s certainly capable of doing that against any player on the planet.

After all, he’s done it in eight of his previous 11 fixtures so far in this competition. And we’re hoping that the victory over Wade which we’re anticipating will set him up nicely for this clash to round off proceedings.
