Tottenham v Arsenal: Enhanced Sanchez can lead visitors to victory

Published:

Tottenham Hotspur take on bitter rivals Arsenal this Sunday afternoon with a clear main objective – to win the game and finish above the Gunners for the first time in 22 years.

It might not be the trophy Spurs fans crave but the bare minimum this season has to be to reach that goal.

To do it in the final North London derby at the current White Hart Lane will of course have even sweeter significance but the omens aren’t good.

The hosts have only secured one win in their last nine meetings against Arsene Wenger’s side and threw away the advantage they held over the 10-man Gunners in last season’s corresponding fixture to draw 2-2.

And with Arsenal coming back into some kind of form since switching formation in recent weeks it could be argued they’re overpriced at 16/5.

Tottenham are odds-on at 4/5 to secure the victory they so desperately desire while it’s 11/4 for another draw at the Lane.

If the visitors are to throw a spanner in the works then Chilean hitman Alexis Sanchez is likely to play a leading role.

We’re offering an enhanced 9/2 (was 7/2) for Sanchez to score in an away win and follow-up his recent heroics against Middlesbrough and Manchester City respectively.

Meanwhile, it’s now 7/4 (was 6/4) for Tottenham to win and and three or more goals to be scored in the match.

Elsewhere, Harry Kane is aiming to score in his fourth straight North London derby. The Spurs hero netted an equaliser to rescue a draw earlier in the reverse contest and he’s an interesting 3/1 poke in the Last Goal Scorer market.
