This alternative table puts Tottenham top and Man United tenth

Everton are just seven points off the top of the Premier League, while Tottenham Hotspur lead the way and Manchester United find themselves closer to the bottom three than they do to Mauricio Pochettino’s men.
At least, that’s how the top-flight would looks based on home form alone.
Last night’s draw between the Red Devils and the Toffees was the ninth of the season at Old Trafford. Visiting sides are picking up points as they please.
But Jose Mourinho should know what to expect as boss of one of the biggest clubs in the division, and it must be getting to supporters now.
So far this season, United have picked up roughly 56.25% of all home points available to them.
Never before in the Premier League era have fans had to watch their side share the spoils so often at the Theatre of Dreams – the most games United had previously drawn at home in one season was six, back in 1993-94.
Worryingly though, they’ve still got another three matches to play at home.
Surely it’s high time the Special One changed his approach, isn’t it?
As for the rest of the table, Tottenham would be some five points clear at the top by now, winning 13 and drawing just two of their 15 games at White Hart Lane.
It looks as though only Ronald Koeman’s Everton side’s away form is keeping them out of the Champions League places, because only three more sides in the division have picked up more points on home soil than the Toffees.
If they can discover a winning formula on the road, they could prove a real force next campaign.
It’s no surprise to see Sunderland and Middlesbrough at the bottom of this table, too.
The North East clubs have both managed just 13 points at home this season, along with Crystal Palace. And were it not for their ability to grind out results at Turf Moor, Sean Dyche’s Burnley would be well and truly in a relegation scrap, given that they’ve picked up 32 of their 35 points in Lancashire.
Even their other three points were picked up in the north, away at Hull City, Sunderland and (surprise, surprise) Man United.
As it is though, only four teams in the Premier League have more home points to their name than the Clarets.
