Stevenage, Swindon & Notts County wins lead our Good Friday Acca
It’s the Easter holidays this weekend and that means a double dose of Football League action and a double chance to land that big acca.
And the Ladbrokes News team are getting stuck in too with a five-fold which we reckon is well worth considering.
We’re focusing on the Good Friday games, and here’s who we like the look of…
Swindon to beat AFC Wimbledon
For all their success this year, Wimbledon have been woeful on the road. The Wombles have won only one of their last 13 away games in a run stretching back to October, and they’ve failed to score in nine of those.
With Swindon having picked up seven points from three games – including wins over high-flying Fleetwood & Millwall – the Robins are on course to continue their fight against the drop here.
Newport County to beat Yeovil
The Welsh outfit can still avoid relegation – but they need to win this game.
Handily, they’ve won their last two and visitors Yeovil are on a dismal run. The Glovers have failed to win 12 of their last 13 games, and have won just once away from Huish Park since October.
Stevenage to beat Morecambe
You won’t get rich backing this as a single but it should certainly feature in all Good Friday accas.
Stevenage endured a rude awakening at Colchester United last time out but in Morecambe they’ve stumbled across the perfect opposition to put that right.
The Shrimps are winless in nine and make the trip to Hertfordshire having lost each of their last three away games, conceding eight goals in that sequence.
Notts County to beat Crewe
The Magpies have found their mojo under Kevin Nolan, with four wins on the bounce – including victory at high-flying Carlisle United last time out.
And with an experienced strike-force including the likes of Jon Stead and Shola Ameobi, we think they’ll be too hot for Crewe to handle. Especially so with the Railwaymen having lost each of their last two games, conceding five goals in the process.
Bradford to beat Oxford United
One thing’s for sure here… Bradford won’t lose. All of their defeats this season have come away from home and they’ll know three points will guarantee them a play-off spot.
They head into this fixture in on the back of two consecutive wins without conceding, while Oxford have picked up just five points from a possible 15 in their last few games. At a shade of odds-on, they’re cracking value here.
So, there you have it. Our five-fold acca comes in at 40/1!
If you fancy it, you can back it right here.
