Monaco to swoop in on Liverpool, Chelsea, Everton & Tottenham target

Youri Tielemens is a name you’re likely to hear time and time again in the coming years. The Anderlecht star is wanted by a string of Premier League clubs, but French outfit Monaco look set to win the race.

The 19-year-old has been a standout performer for the Belgian giants this term, bagging 12 goals and eight assists in the Jupiler League.

And the central midfielder has done the business in Europe too, scoring three times in this season’s Europa Legaue, in addition to one goal apiece in play-offs for both that and the Champions League.

In total, the teenager has netted a sensational 18 times this term, in addition to 11 assists.

Merseyside duo Liverpool and Everton, plus Londoners Chelsea and Tottenham have been courting the Belgian international in recent months.

But French outlet L’Equipe now claim Monaco are set to beat them all to Tielemens’ signature.

The Riviera outfit boast an incredible array of young talent, including Kylian Mbappe, Bernardo Silva, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Thomas Lemar and Gabriel Boschilia.

Currently storming towards their first Ligue 1 title in 17 years and with further glory on the horizon for the club in years to come, it’s no wonder they appeal to Tielemens.

The midfielder made his debut for Anderlecht aged just 16-years-old, and is the fourth-youngest player in Jupiler League history.

He has since gone on to make over 160 appearances for Les Mauves et Blancs and made his international bow last November.

Valued at £17m by transfermarkt.co.uk, it’s a sign of his ability that the website rates him a whopping £6m higher than any other player in Belgium.

Anderlecht have Tielemens tied down until 2020, but it’s likely that any bid of £30m and above will seriously test their resolve this summer.
