ITV Racing Tips: Blakemount is our longshot tip for Ayr success

There’s a feast of live racing this Saturday 22 April with the cards from Ayr and Newbury headlining over the Jumps and on the Flat respectively.
That’s where the ITV Racing cameras will be and we’re also focusing our attention on those two tracks.
The Scottish Grand National is the feature contest north of the border while down in Berkshire the Greenham Stakes is the highlight.
Here’s how we’re calling each of the nine live races…
The John Gosden-Frankie Dettori partnership has plundered its fair share of prizes this week and we’re backing the legendary jockey and Ladbrokes ambassador to pick up another here.
Dabyah is the pick with her nine length success over course and distance last September an eye-catching piece of form.
She went on to finish third in the Group 1 Criterium des Pouliches when stepped up to a mile following that success and this drop back to 7f looks ideal.
We’ve already seen one Frankel foal secure a big race success this week and we’re backing Dream Castle to do the same.
He wasn’t without his quirks when scoring on debut at Doncaster but his turn of foot that day suggested there’s a lot of untapped promise.
With that experience under his belt we’re expecting this exciting Classic contender to see off fellow Godolphin charge Barney Roy.
Well, we just had to have a stab at a big priced winner in the Scottish National, didn’t we?
Following the success of our Lively Longshot in the Craven Stakes we’re going back in for more and it’s Blakemount who catches our eye.
Eight of the last 10 winners have carried 11-0 or less with each of the last six being rated between 134 and 146 and our selection ticks those boxes.
Added to that, his fifth in the Midlands Grand National last time out was a respectable effort over an extended trip. Now 2lb lower, this Sue Smith-trained charge is more than capable of grabbing some place money or hopefully even more.
