Hearts v Celtic: Back the Bhoys to land the title in style

Brendan Rodgers - Celtic manager

Aberdeen’s 7-0 hammering over Dundee on Friday night may have delayed Celtic’s title party, but the odds suggest Brendan Rodgers’ men will get the job done today against Hearts.

A 28th win of the season would ensure the Bhoys’ win the title, and all with eight games still to play.

We make the league leaders 10/21 favourites for victory at Tynecastle, with Hearts chalked up at 11/2 to make Celtic wait another week.

But given that the Jam Tarts haven’t won any of the last 17 meetings between the sides, you can’t back a home win with any confidence.

Plus, Ian Cathro’s side have won just four of their last 14 fixtures, including one of their last five.

So, as has been the way with most of Celtic’s fixtures this season, the handicap market is the way to go.

The Bhoys hammered Hearts 4-0 back in January, and an away win on the -1 handicap is available at 5/4.

And having been ahead at half-time in each of the last four meetings, backing Celtic/Celtic in the Half-Time/Full-Time looks a smart move too at 13/5.

Also, it’s 10/11 on Celtic to be leading at the interval.

Moussa Dembele has enjoyed a sterling season in Glasgow, and the 20-year-old us 14/5 favourite to open the scoring.

Leigh Griffiths is next at 3/1, but with three goals versus Hearts already this season, Scott Sinclair looks the pick of the bunch at 4/1.
