Everton sit alongside Monaco in race for Anderlecht’s captain marvel

Youri Tielemans is a player with a big, bright future, and according to our latest odds, his next chapter could well be with Everton.
The Anderlecht midfielder has shone this term, racking up a sensational 18 goals and 14 assists from the centre of the park.
And the Belgian has been handed the captain’s armband on eight occasions, including the first-leg of the Paars-Wits’ Europa League clash with Manchester United.
Oh, and he’s only 19-years-old.
Everton already boast defensive workhorse Idrissa Gueye and the attacking energy of Ross Barkley.
Morgan Schneiderlin was snapped up in January, but Gareth Barry is now 36-years-old and Tielemans would be the ideal successor at Goodison Park.
And it’s widely reported that the teenage star could be available for a modern-day snip at £21m.
So it’s little wonder we make the Toffees 2/1 joint-favourites to sign him up.
However, they’ll have to fight off Monaco, who are also in the running at the same price.
Les Monagasques boast arguably the most frightening array of young talent seen in a generation, and it’s understandable that Tielemans may want to join them on the French Riviera.
Behind that duo come Chelsea at 3/1, although Tielemans would have to contend with N’Golo Kante, Nemanja Matic and Cesc Fabregas at Stamford Bridge.
Italian duo Juventus and newly-bought out AC Milan are each available at 6/1 too, with Bayern Munich the outsiders here at 8/1.
