Where’s the money heading in Emirates FA Cup ties and trophy?

Here at Ladbrokes, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed that Chelsea don’t lift the Emirates FA Cup for the fifth time since 2007, with the Blues comfortably the best-backed side to lift the trophy.

A shade over £10,000 has been plonked on the Stamford Bridge outfit since before the competition began, including one smart punter who stuck £500 on the west London outfit back in July 2016 – before the qualifying rounds had even begun.

Manchester United still remain the most heavily backed side, with 17 per cent of you having bet on the Red Devils before their Quarter-Final exit – pretty impressive considering the enormous number of teams who have been involved in the competition.

Right now though, it’s Tottenham who are proving the most popular selection – especially as far as the match betting for their Semi-Final against Chelsea is concerned.

Twice as many bets have been placed on the Lilywhites compared to their opponents in the match betting, while a stack of double and treble-figure sums have been put behind Mauricio Pochettino’s men lifting this trophy for the first time since 1991.

Elsewhere, Arsenal are the more heavily-backed side for the other semi, as they face Manchester City – with the Gunners looking for a fourth victory in six meetings with the North-West club.

In the outright betting, Chelsea are now 15/8 favourites for victory, though it’s those savvy punters who backed them at their pre-tournament price of 7/1 who will be feeling most satisfied.

Man City are next-best at 2/1, with Tottenham 10/3 shots and Arsenal priced at 7/2 to win this competition for the third time in four seasons.
