The Voice Betting Update: No one can shift long-time favourite Mo

We’re well into the latest series of The Voice, and with the Live Shows soon to be upon us, we thought we’d keep you in the know and tell you where the money’s going.
So who’s hot and who’s not? Find out below…
Most Backed – Mo Adeniran
It’s no surprise to see Mo’s name here. Ever since his first audition, he’s headed the market, and it doesn’t look like anybody can get near him right now.
We’ve actually taken double the amount of bets on the 21-year-old than we have on any other contestant. At this stage of the game, that speaks volumes.
Taking Mo out of the equation?
Those of you fancying an upset might want to get on David Jackson or Jason Jones (both 8/1), because they’re the most two popular names after the frontrunner.
David was a 16/1 shot earlier in the series, while Jason has always been around the 8/1 mark, so of the two, we’d be keeping an eye out for the man from Walsall, who fought off Lawrence Hill in the Battle Round last weekend.
Rank Outsider – Georgie Braggins (50/1)
There are currently four contestants available at 50/1, but in terms of where the money has gone, Georgie may as well pack her bags now.
No act has received fewer bets or stakes since the show began, and she has it all to do if she’s to defy the odds.
Most Popular Gender – Male
Given that the head of this market is dominated by males, it’s no surprise to see that the gender of the winner market favours that sex at 4/6.
And the betting supports those odds, with 62.8 per cent of all stakes being placed on a male winner.
Best Backed Mentor – Jennifer Hudson
This is largely to do with the fact that she has Mo in her ranks – but a staggering 83.8 per cent of all stakes in the Winning Mentor market have gone the way of JHud.
At 5/4, she’s the clear favourite ahead of will.i.am (10/3), Tom Jones (10/3) and Gavin Rossdale (7/2).
