The axed managers we reckon should be given another chance

Following Warren Joyce’s sacking by Wigan, it was pointed out that over 26 per cent of all Football League clubs have changed managers in the last 100 days.
That leaves an awful lot of football bosses on the scrapheap.
We’re not going to discuss each and every case, but there are certainly a few who we reckon deserve another shot.
First up of course, is Claudio Raneiri.
The football world was split down the middle following Leicester’s decision three weeks ago to axe the man who led them to their greatest moment.
Was it the Tinkerman’s fault? Was it the players? We’ll probably never know.
But given that remarkable success with the Foxes, plus his vast experience across England and the continent, the ever-cheerful Roman should be back in employment sooner rather than later.
Another man who we fancy won’t be out of the job for long is Russell Slade.
The former Leyton Orient boss left Coventry earlier this month, but in truth, we can’t think of anyone who can save the Sky Blues right now.
Slade’s previous stint with Charlton was similarly a bout of bad-timing.
Focus on his record with Orient, Yeovil, Grimsby and Scarborough and plenty of clubs should be looking at the the lively 56-year-old.
Plus, after those spells with Charlton and Coventry, Slade himself will be keen to find a happy home.
We would also have included Gary Rowett, but the former Birmingham boss has been snapped up by Derby County this week.
So our final gaffer who is due a comeback is… Alan Pardew.
He may be a bit like Marmite, but Pards’ boasts a tidy win percentage of over 42.
Plus, he’s twice won promotion into the Premier League, led Newcastle to fifth in the top-tier, and took Crystal Palace to the FA Cup final.
He’s reportedly closing in on the Norwich City vacancy, but whatever happens, we expect to see Pardew on a touch-line somewhere very soon.
