Sanchez to leave Arsenal? That’s not what our traders are saying

Published:

Plenty are expecting this to be Alexis Sanchez’s last season in an Arsenal shirt, with a number of Europe’s elite clubs keeping an eye on developments at the Emirates.

But despite all the talk surrounding a summer exit, the latest odds paint a very different picture – and it’s one which Gooners will be delighted with.

That’s because the Chile international is now 1/3 to stay at Arsenal after the transfer window slams shut – and those are the shortest odds we’ve seen in a long time.

The news comes as his manager, Arsene Wenger, has also been made odds-on to remain in charge of Arsenal after this season, despite being 8/11 to leave after the Gunners lost to Chelsea last month.

While several publications have reported that Sanchez is growing frustrated at his side’s inability to challenge for the Premier League as well as success in Europe, the latest odds are suggesting he’ll hang around for a little while longer to help the Gunners push on.

And that’ll be music to the ears of every Arsenal fan on the planet, given how important he is to this team’s chances of winning silverware.

Already with 20 goals to his name in all competitions this season, Sanchez has been in deadly form for the north London outfit, who would be some eight points worse off if we were to take away the 28-year-old’s goals this season.

He’s without doubt been the one shining light in an otherwise largely disappointing campaign for Arsenal. And it looks as if he’s going nowhere soon.
