Netherlands and Belgium star in our 18/1 four-fold

Published:

The international action continues this weekend with the fifth round of matches in the race to reach the 2018 World Cup.

And to help you along the way, we’ve come up with another acca to make things interesting.

It’s not always easy when you’ve got the likes of Bosnia & Herzegovina at 1/200 to beat Gibraltar, but we’ve picked out four punts for Saturday’s games which add up to a tidy 18/1…

Belgium -2 v Greece @ 9/4

Belgium’s golden generation failed to shine at last summer’s Euros, but under Roberto Martinez and Thierry Henry, they’re scoring for fun now.

Having netted a staggering 21 goals in just four matches, they should be far too strong against Greece.

The visitors may sit second, but they’ve had it easy so far, playing Estonia, Gibraltar, Cyprus and Bosnia.

Faroe Islands to beat Andorra @ 8/13

The Faroes have got off to a fine start, and could well be on course for their best ever World Cup qualifying campaign.

Bouyed by an excellent 2-0 win in Latvia and a draw versus Hungary, they should be confident of picking up three points in Andorra.

It won’t be easy – Switzerland only managed a 2-1 win in the Pyrenees – but their only win in the last 13 years has been against San Marino, so we’ve got to fancy the Faroe Islands here.

Sweden – 1 to beat Belarus @ 6/4

Sweden seem well-priced in the WDW at 1/2, but we fancy it’s worth backing the hosts on the handicap to see off Belarus.

The visitors’ last visit to this part of Scandinavia ended in a 5-1 defeat, and they’ve already been well beaten once on their travels in this group, losing 4-1 in the Netherlands.

Netherlands to beat Bulgaria @ 1/2

Surely Arjen Robben and co can beat a side who needed an injury-time goal to beat Luxembourg 4-3, right?

As the Netherlands are away from home we’re swerving the handicap market,  but they know that if they’re to have any chance of beating France to the top spot in Group A, they must win in Sofia.
