Liverpool favourites to sign Joe Hart after Man City admission

It’s rare you’ll see an interview with a Premier League winner quite as honest as the one Joe Hart gave to the BBC this week, and the Manchester City stopper all but confirmed his days as a Citizen are over.

And our traders have been quick to react, with Liverpool priced up as 7/2 favourites to land the England goalkeeper.

Hart admitted he is ‘surplus to requirements’ at the Etihad, following Pep Guardiola’s arrival as boss last summer.

The former Shrewsbury Town ace has spent this season on-loan at Torino, and has helped the Turin outfit spend the entire Serie A season in the top-half.

And it’s the Italian side who are second favourites in the betting to land Hart permanently at 9/2.

The 29-year-old is 7/1 to join West Ham, with Everton, Stoke and Crystal Palace all available at 10s.

Arsenal are 12/1, with Southampton at 16/1 and a Mancunian switch to Man United the outside punt at 25s.

It’s hard to imagine Hart will be struggling for options this summer, for its rare a goalkeeper of his experience and calibre is available.

The stopper played just once for City this term before Guardiola loaned him out to Italy, coming in the Champions League play-off win over Steaua Bucharest.

Hart has made 348 appearances for the Sky Blues, since joining from Shrewsbury in 2006.
