Lingard in, Hazard out? Chelsea star priced dangerously short to leave

Published:

Chelsea fans might just want to strap themselves in for a hectic summer of arrivals and departures. But will they favour the west London outfit, or hinder the club’s progression?

The latest odds are suggesting it could well be the latter, with fresh reports suggesting that Real Madrid are keen on adding Eden Hazard to their ranks.

They’re apparently willing to send Alvaro Morata the other way, but only a fool would suggest this move favours the Blues in any way.

While our traders haven’t priced Hazard’s next potential destination, they make it just 6/4 he moves on at the end of this season – and we’ve not seen odds that short for some time.

And as well as Morata’s potential arrival at Stamford Bridge, reports this morning are suggesting Antonio Conte will look to add Manchester United ace Jesse Lingard to his ranks – something which our traders have also responded to.

Last season was certainly one to forget for the Belgium international. But he’s undoubtedly back to his best this time out, having already registered 11 goals and four assists in the Premier League thus far.

His record goal tally in the top-flight is 14, something which he’s well on course to better between now and May with 11 games still to play.

His goals this season have gone a long way towards Chelsea breezing the race for the title, but were he to beat his personal best tally, the latest odds are suggesting it may well be his parting gift to the club that signed him for just shy of £30m five years ago.

Would Chelsea make that money back?

Absolutely, and then some.

Is it a move fans want to see at the end of the season? Almost certainly not.

But what do you think? Will Hazard be leaving west London for good this summer? And how much would you expect him to go for?
