Griezmann to Man United? Lukaku to leave? Who makes our wishlist?

Last year was busy, but we’re expecting this summer’s transfer window to be the biggest in Premier League history. Don’t be surprised to see transfer records smashed, huge arrivals and shock departures.

But in an ideal world, who would you really like to see in the top-flight?

Would you want to put Lionel Messi on a cold Tuesday night in Stoke? Could a Cristiano Ronaldo return be on the cards?

Here are our wishes for the upcoming transfer window, along with a current Premier League player we reckon could be leaving England…

Alex Apati

I’d love to see Neymar in the Premier League.

I think that as huge names go, you don’t get much bigger than the Brazilian. Messi will likely see his career out at Barcelona and Suarez has already spent time in England.

Apparently Neymar would be open to a move – and there’d be plenty of potential suitors for him.

Make it happen!

BUT

I wouldn’t exactly LOVE to see Sergio Aguero leave the top-flight, but I’d be interested to see how he got on at a club like Real Madrid.

It seems like they’re missing one piece in their forward jigsaw, and the Argentine would be a perfect fit in my opinion.

He’s still got a few good years in him, and I reckon he’d be hitting around 40 a season playing off the likes of Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo at the Bernabeu.

Plus, Gabriel Jesus will probably be Pep Guardiola’s first choice striker, so Man City should look to cash in on Aguero and allow him to leave for a club who’d get the best out of him.

I’m being realistic, and though I’d love to see Lionel Messi in the Premier League, is it actually ever going to happen?

So I’m going to say Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

He’s a wicked talent, but I think he could shine in the Prem, more so than Alexandre Lacazette. Let Aubameyang become the main man at Liverpool, Manchester United or Arsenal, and watch the magic happen.

BUT

The balance of your A-star names have gradually gone from the Premier League rather than to it, and you’ve got say Romelu Lukaku is probably about to join that list.

If he can net 21 goals over here, just how many could he get in Spain? It would be a shame to lose him, but boy could he hit new levels in La Liga.

I seriously hope Manchester United splash the cash and thwart Barcelona’s reported interest in Antoine Griezmann. For all of his enduring brilliance, Zlatan Ibrahimovic can’t lead the Jose Mourinho revolution forever and the French star looks the perfect replacement for the ageing Ibra and Wayne Rooney.

The 26-year-old has been busy displaying his ruthless streak in front of goal, as well as the willingness to aid Atletico Madrid’s infamous team collective.

Those traits have obviously not gone unnoticed by Mourinho and with the Red Devils more than capable of matching his £86.4m release clause, his capture could be the signing of the summer.

BUT

Although we broke the news that Manchester United are short-priced favourites to sign Yaya Toure, I wouldn’t want to see the City legend head across town.

Not because I have any allegiance to the Sky Blues but it would a sickener for their fans.

Instead, Yaya should head to pastures new to showcase his own mercurial brilliance, with the United States or China perhaps the easiest options.

However, I personally think a move to the more sedate, but still high-quality, environs of Ligue 1 could be right up his alley. I’ll make the phone calls to Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco myself!
