Cheltenham Day 4 NAP: An incredible triumph beckons for Defi

Defi Du Seuil - Triumph Hurdle odds

This is it. We’ve reached the final day of the 2017 Cheltenham Festival and there’s one more chance remaining to nail our colours firmly to an equine mast.

And it’ll probably come as no surprise to you to discover that Friday’s certainty isn’t to be found amongst the Gold Cup contingent.

Instead, it’s the curtain-raiser, the Triumph Hurdle, that’s attracted our attention.

Or to be more precise, Defi Du Seuil is the one we’re lumping on.

The Philip Hobbs-trained charge has done everything right in his pre-Festival preparations, with a resounding Grade 1 win at Chepstow sandwiched in between three key trial successes.

Granted, he’s not the only in-form fancy set to line-up.

Charli Parcs had dished out an eight length beating to the re-opposing Master Blueyes prior to falling at Kempton last time out.

The latter went on to clean up in that contest while Irish raiders Mega Fortune and Baupame can’t be completely ignored.

Meanwhile, last year’s winning connections field another lively chance in Landofhopeandglory.

However, our pick has course form as well as a winning mentality in his favour and the talented four-year-old looks set to get his backers off to a great start.
