Barcelona new Champions League favs following epic comeback

Luis Enrique - Barcelona manager odds

Barcelona are the new favourites to win this season’s Champions League after completing arguably the greatest comeback in football history.

Trailing Paris Saint-Germain 4-0 at the start of their last-16 second leg encounter, Luis Enrique’s side hammered the Ligue 1 outfit 6-1 at the Nou Camp to win through 6-5 on aggregate.

Sergi Roberto’s dramatic stoppage-time goal sealed Barca’s passage to the quarter-finals for the 10th year running and in doing so put his side on course to land a sixth European Cup success.

Our odds-compilers are certainly taking no chances, having slashed the Catalan club’s odds from 40/1 to 11/4 overnight.

Bayern Munich aren’t far behind at 3/1 while Barca’s arch-rivals and the defending champions, Real Madrid, are priced at 9/2.

And the current odds suggest that this season’s Champions League assault could well be between those three clubs with Juventus next best at 7s with Borussia Dortmund rated 9/1 shots.

Premier League outfits Manchester City and Leicester City both still have work to do in the last-16 and our traders make them 10/1 and 80/1 respectively.
