Villarreal, Valencia and Aston Villa star in our midweek football acca

Published:

We love a midweek football fest, mainly because it’s another opportunity to put together a successful acca.

There’s a heavy dose of Spanish action this week, plus a sizeable list of English Football League to enjoy this evening.

So the Ladbrokes News team have put it all together to come up with this intriguing five-fold…

Richard Marsh

Villarreal to beat Osasuna

Simply put, Osasuna are bottom of the table and are winless at home, while Villarreal sit nicely in sixth.

Adding further confidence in backing the visitors here is their excellent performance at the weekend against Real Madrid.

Granted they lost 3-2, but not before going 2-0 up, so I expect them to bounce back in style.

William Geldart

Malaga to beat Real Betis

Both of these sides are in poor form but I’m putting my faith in Malaga in this evenly-matched contest. Betis are rank on the road, losing six straight away from home, including a miserable 4-1 defeat to struggling Granada earlier this month.

The hosts are hardly setting the world alight themselves but a recent 2-1 win over Las Palmas at La Rosadela – when down to 10-men – offers hope that Malaga will get the job done.

Dave Burin

Valencia to beat Leganes

The hosts beat Real Madrid 2-1 at the Mestalla in their last home game, making it two in a row on their own patch – having defeated Athletic Bilbao just three days prior.

That alone makes the 3/4 for victory here look like great value, but Leganes’ woeful away record strengthens that argument.

They’re winless in eight on the road in La Liga, and look set for a third straight defeat on their travels.

Alex Apati

Aston Villa to beat Bristol City

Surely, surely Aston Villa have got enough about them to beat Bristol City at home tonight.

Victory over Derby last weekend will have been huge for Steve Bruce’s men, and to be honest – even with their current form in mind – I’m surprised they’re available at Evens here.

Especially given that the Robins have lost more games than any other Championship team except Rotherham this season.

Ladbrokes News Team Choice

Accrington to beat Wycombe

Our 5 Team Acca insurance means we can be a tad bold with our fifth choice, but there’s logic in it too.

Accrington are unbeaten in their last four at the Wham stadium, and have found a real knack for scoring plenty of goals recently.

Couple that with a Wycombe side whose play-off hopes have nosedived in recent weeks with five straight defeats, and this is a midweek trip up north that Gareth Ainsworth’s men could do without.

So, there you have it. Our five-fold acca comes in at 35/1!

If you fancy it, you can back it right here.

And remember, thanks to our 5 Team Acca Insurance offer, it’s money back as a free bet if one team lets you down!*
